Will's Notes

Most of Six Apart was written in the Fall of 2020 at Rob’s house in Great Falls Montana. Tim and I drove out there from Portland to record Sisters with Rob and John during the Spring break of 2021. A central idea to Six Apart is that we did a lot of tracking remotely. Owen’s Cello was recorded at Adam Sweeney’s house. Mark, Hailey, and Nathan all sent their parts from their respective home studios. Tim and I did our parts from his home studio.

This is a compilation of the first 3 William Stafford albums recorded at 8 Ball Studio in Portland which is why there are so many bass players. We changed the name to Window Business and went out to play our first tour in Montana, headlining the Covellite Film Festival in 2018.
